This website presents data from the wartime censusy conducted by Wilfred Prest for the University of Melbourne in 1941 - 1943. These surveys contain details of the living situations of working class Melbournians at the time. The map below currently includes transcribed survey data from Coburg and Pascoe Vale, Victoria.
The map shows the location of each survey collected.
The play button allows you to view the progress of the data collection over time.

To view the surveys collected by a specific interviewer, select their name from the drop-down.
